Augury, a form of Divining regarding omen reading, allows a character to interpret seemingly meaningless events, such as the pattern made in the sky by a flock of birds, the way smoke rises from a fire, or the behaviour of chickens pecking at grain. Augury also often involves the sacrificial reading of animal entrails, their arrangement, placement, shape, and colour. To the augur, all these small things form part of the greater pattern of the universe and can be indicative of events in the past, the future, or far away.
See Divining for more detail on divinations possible with Augury.
