With a multitude of mouths to feed in the world, a great number of people make their living by farming. The life of a farmer is not an easy one. The work starts early in the pre-dawn hours and continues until sunset. There is usually enough to eat, but much of the farmer's effort goes into growing enough food to sell so that their family's meagre existence can continue.
In hard times, farmers gather at the local tavern and dream of striking it rich as adventurers, merchants, or whatever. Though most of them are content with their fantasy, a few actually set out to seek their fortune.
